　　儿科医院有一个专门的青春期门诊，专为10－19岁年龄段的青少年而设。让专家惊讶的是，15岁到19岁的孩子，还仅仅是在初中至高中读书阶段，平均5－10％的男孩和3－8％的女孩却已经有了性经历。这个年龄段婚前性行为日益增多，而对性和生殖避孕知识却了解很少，缺乏对安全性行为的控制能力，这种反差的扩大，使越来越多的青少年面临着意外妊娠和人工流产的威胁，甚至个别人感染了性病，威胁生命。
　　性早熟带来负面影响
　　儿童性早熟会对心理健康产生不良影响。青春期门诊在临床中经常发现，凡是有过性行为的学生，普遍对平时感兴趣的事情感觉乏味，特别是学习思考能力下降，注意力难以集中，对成绩下降感到无所谓，甚至有厌学倾向。尤其是一些本身性格较内向的学生，由于有过性行为后，出现对性的消极评价和过度的性压抑，诱发严重的自卑感，怕与人目光对视或怕被别人目光注视，感到活着没意义，产生轻生念头。

　　儿科医院院长桂永浩教授昨天分析说，上海儿童性早熟主要是受到社会环境变化、饮食结构调整、疾病谱改变等多种因素影响。随着社会的开放，一些不健康的西方文化不断涌入，性行为、性暴力充斥电视镜头，地摊上出售的小报小刊详细描绘性过程等内容，都潜移默化地影响着大部分少年儿童，促使他们提前性成熟。时下，高蛋白、高脂肪的饮食结构，加之油氽煎炸的烹饪习惯，使儿童体内过早地分泌出性激素。越来越多地出现儿童肥胖、糖尿病等疾病，在治疗过程中摄入的药物激素过量，也是引起儿童性早熟的原因。
